The round was led by Realyze Ventures, with participation from D11Z Ventures, the CDTM Venture Fund, and a group of experienced business angels from the construction industry and the venture ecosystem.
With the fresh capital, Alago is accelerating the expansion of its platform to significantly boost productivity in day-to-day project work and make construction projects more predictable, sustainable, and efficient.
“Construction projects clearly generate vast amounts of data—but so far, it’s hardly being used. We’re building the infrastructure to intelligently activate this data and fundamentally change operational project work,” explains Janick Hofer, co-founder of Alago.
The Right Timing
Requirements in construction projects are increasing: even mid-sized projects now generate tens of thousands of documents, emails, and reports. At the same time, project managers spend more than 15 hours per week on manual, administrative tasks—valuable time that is urgently needed elsewhere. Alago addresses this productivity loss with AI-driven automation, tapping into a growing market opportunity fueled by rising digitalization pressure and multi-billion-euro infrastructure investment programs.
“The team impressed us with its deep understanding of construction processes and the concrete pain points of its target group. Even at this early stage, they are delivering real value to customers—with a solution that has the potential to fundamentally transform the industry,” says Kai Panitzki, General Partner at Realyze Ventures.
From Fragmented Information to Informed Decision-Making
Unlike traditional document management systems, Alago intelligently consolidates the wide range of project documents—from meeting minutes and emails to contracts and invoices—and makes them instantly accessible through AI-powered analysis. The platform automatically highlights tasks and relevant information, links them to stakeholders or topics, and creates a dynamic overview of open issues, responsibilities, and developments—without the need to manually search through countless documents. This relieves project teams and enables well-founded decision-making.
