🚀 AI-BOB: Swedish Startup Raises €2 Million for International Expansion and Product Development

The Stockholm-based ConTech startup AI-BOB, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure compliance with building regulations, environmental requirements, and construction standards, has raised €2 million in funding. This brings the company’s valuation to over €10 million—just a little more than a year after its founding.

The investment round is led by venture capital firm CapitalT. Additional investors include Fund F, which focuses on investments in women-founded companies, NCA, a German venture capital firm specializing in the construction industry, as well as a group of business angels. The new capital will primarily be used for product development and preparations for international expansion.

Elin MĂĄrtensson, co-founder and CEO of AI-BOB, commented:
“Our vision is a world in which construction errors are not only minimized, but eliminated altogether. With this new funding, we can fully focus on developing AI-BOB. It’s great to see international investors believe in us, and with their expertise and networks, we can prepare to scale globally and enter new markets.”

AI-BOB was founded in 2024 by Elin MĂĄrtensson, Petter Wallberg, Rickard Svedenmark, and Olle Eriksson. The company develops digital solutions to optimize construction projects. By using AI to analyze plans and detect errors before they turn into real-world problems, AI-BOB aims to set new standards for a sustainable and innovative construction and real estate industry.

The idea for AI-BOB emerged from Elin Mårtensson’s frustration after years of working as a real estate developer and building regulation expert. She observed that construction errors and delays are more the rule than the exception—often resulting in extremely costly projects.

CapitalT, the lead investor, sees significant market potential in AI-BOB:
“What impressed us most is how quickly AI-BOB identified a real market problem and developed an intelligent, effective solution. With a strong team and a clear vision, they have the potential to transform this industry. We’re excited to support their journey, which is only just beginning,” said Janneke Niessen, founding partner at CapitalT.

The startup has already gained strong traction and counts three global customers among its clients. With the new funding, AI-BOB is taking the next step—advancing the construction industry through innovative technologies and smart solutions.
