With the new capital, aedifion plans to roll out its AI platform across Europe and further develop its virtual building assistant based on generative models. aedifion’s applications analyze live data from building services systems and reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions—by an average of 22%, and up to 40% in peak cases, according to the company. The software currently manages around 500 buildings with more than 6 million square meters across eight countries. In 2024, the startup doubled its revenue.
Johannes described the funding round as a “turbo for decarbonization.” Eurazeo director Alice Besomi referred to it as “the easiest lever for ESG compliance” for asset managers. Looking ahead to future challenges, demand for smart efficiency solutions is expected to continue to grow.
