ATechX launches fourth cohort: Aroundtown brings eleven international PropTechs/ConTechs on board
@aroundtown

ATechX, Aroundtown's innovation platform, has launched its fourth cohort. For four months, eleven international startups will further develop their technologies alongside leading real estate companies under real market conditions, instead of just tinkering in the lab.

The focus is on topics that have been driving the construction and real estate industry for years: energy efficiency, building renovation, AI, robotics, and construction site automation. Among the participants is the startup navou, which analyzes existing buildings and provides the entire “stack” all the way to renovation or repurposing. There is also Origin, which develops robotics and AI solutions for automated construction sites. Emulate accelerates permitting and planning processes in the construction sector using artificial intelligence, while tequs relies on CO₂-based high-temperature heat pumps as an alternative to gas and oil heating systems. Scale Energy provides battery storage and intelligent energy management for commercial locations, and Muvan AI automates asset and property management via AI. Other participants focus on environmental and soil remediation, utility billing, and sustainable battery materials. So, a wide range of real estate aspects is covered.

We have already reported on the second ATechX cohort and the network expansion to over 400 billion euros in real estate assets. Now comes the logical continuation: instead of five, there are eleven startups this time, and the partner network has grown accordingly.

Participants gain access to the portfolios of Vonovia, LEG Immobilien, Apleona, Prologis, Round Hill Capital, Stoneweg, Schwarz Digits, and the Supernova Group totaling over 400 billion euros in assets. Additionally, venture funds such as Fifth Wall, noa, Realyze Ventures, The Bau Ventures, and Zacua Ventures are involved, which are obviously highly interesting for the startups in terms of coaching and financing.

The strategic orientation is also new: ATechX is increasingly opening up to later-stage scale-ups with market-ready products that can validate their solutions directly within real property portfolios rather than just in pilot projects. Those who prove themselves will be supported in their market expansion even after the program ends.

A great approach by the protagonists to bring startups directly into the real world of the construction and real estate industry. We will stay tuned and report on future cohorts.
