ATechX Launches Second Accelerator Cohort with Five Innovative PropTech Startups

Following the success of its first cohort with five promising startups—including MapMortar from London, Bellboy Robotics, and Reavant—the ATechX accelerator is entering its second round. This time, five additional companies have been selected to work with ATechX on their solutions over the next four months.

ATechX Team

ATechX, a growth program by Aroundtown in collaboration with noa (formerly A/O) and Fifth Wall, was launched in 2024 to give innovative startups access to expertise and strategic partnerships. As one of Europe’s largest real estate companies, Aroundtown provides an ideal environment to test and scale new solutions under real-world conditions.

Five startups, five solutions for the future of the real estate industry

Whether it’s CO₂ reduction, intelligent cooling, or flexible retail concepts—the five selected startups bring technological diversity with a shared goal: making the real estate industry more efficient, sustainable, and user-friendly.

  1. CQuel (London, also active in the German market), founded by Pål Hauff Hvattum and Rich Amos – A platform for commercial building retrofits that turns decarbonization plans into executable projects. Through automation and a network of more than 150 vetted suppliers, CQuel enables faster decision-making and smooth implementation from planning to delivery.
  2. Garentii (Germany), founded by Michael Hazoume, MBA and Dennis Stern – Revolutionizes the rental process with digital deposit insurance and AI-powered identity verification—for faster move-ins.
  3. Super Polymer (Israel) – Develops highly crystalline polymers with outstanding mechanical and optical properties. Ideal for improved building insulation and thermal protection.
  4. Temperate (UK) – A passive cooling system that is 20 times more efficient than conventional air conditioning.
  5. xNomad (Sweden) – Europe’s leading platform for pop-up retail spaces, offering brands flexible presence opportunities while increasing occupancy rates for property owners.

A reality check in practice

The program focuses on developing and testing technologies under real conditions within Aroundtown’s real estate portfolio. The startups test their solutions directly in office, residential, and hotel buildings. Supported by partners Fifth Wall, noa, and Round Hill Capital, they gain access to pilot projects, mentoring, and scaling opportunities.

A strong signal for the industry

With this program, Aroundtown demonstrates how to actively drive change—especially at a time when ESG criteria, cost efficiency, and energy savings are becoming increasingly important.

We wish the startups and Aroundtown continued success!
