Infrastructure Growth Surge: €2.5 Billion for the Expansion of maincubes
@maincubes

European data center operator maincubes, which is majority-owned by the investment firm DTCP, has closed a long-term financing agreement totaling 2.475 billion euros. This transaction provides the financial foundation for the company’s next growth phase and the further expansion of its data center platform.
The financing package consists of 1.775 billion euros in credit lines and an additional 700 million euro accordion option. The capital is being provided by a consortium of eleven banks and one institutional fund. The proceeds will be used to refinance the existing portfolio as well as to develop new, large-scale data center projects.

Expansion of the Frankfurt and Berlin Sites

Specifically, the financing is intended to support the following projects, among others:

  • The construction of the fourth data center at the Frankfurt location (FRA04).
  • The development of the mainHub campus in Berlin, which will feature a capacity of 200 megawatts (MW) as well as further expansion options.
  • The continuous expansion of existing sites.

With a planned total capacity of approximately 400 MW, maincubes ranks among the largest and fastest-growing digital infrastructure operators in Germany.

Positioning as a Partner for Cloud and Artificial Intelligence

The newly established long-term financing structure enables maincubes to further scale its operations and meet the surging demand for cloud and AI workloads. maincubes serves a highly diversified customer base, ranging from the public sector to global hyperscale cloud providers.

Congratulations, maincubes!
