Köster launches innovation platform for the construction industry
@Köster

Köster GmbH has launched a new innovation platform. Under the name KÖSTER.VENTURES, the company is now bundling all its startup activities (be sure to check out our recent articles on The Bau Ventures and other major players in the construction industry that have established venture arms or similar structures to support and collaborate with startups).

The initiative aims to actively drive innovation in the construction industry and help shape the digital and sustainable transformation of the entire sector. KÖSTER VENTURES was founded by CEO and shareholder Nils Köster.

The new unit focuses on three core areas: In terms of startup collaboration, a platform for founders is being established that emphasizes partnership-based cooperation and hands-on projects. Furthermore, KÖSTER VENTURES plans strategic investments that go beyond mere capital participation; startups will also be supported during their market entry and further growth. The third pillar is the development of new solutions, which includes creating new business models and successfully implementing them in the market.

Activities span the entire construction value chain, with a focus on planning, construction execution, and sustainability. By combining the operational experience of the established group with new technologies from startups, these solutions are to be integrated directly into real-world projects. This approach ensures that practical innovations can be implemented significantly faster.

For young companies, the close connection to the Köster Group offers excellent scaling opportunities. With around 200 projects per year, Köster provides an ideal environment for testing, implementation, and securing initial orders. The direct link to the executive board likely enables swift decision-making processes.
