NavVis raises spectacular round and aims to make generated digital twins AI-ready to expand its product portfolio!
@NavVis

NavVis has raised 85 million US dollars in a Series D funding round. The financing was led by The Jordan Company (TJC). Existing investors including Yttrium, Kozo Keikaku Engineering, Inc., and Cipio Partners also participated.

ENavVis is no longer a classic startup. Given its relevance, we are nevertheless happy to report on it. Founded in 2013, the Munich-based DeepTech company claims to serve over 1,500 customers in more than 50 countries. According to the company, more than one billion square meters were captured in 2025. Still, AI makes additional capital necessary, and funding this solely from cash flow probably isn’t feasible yet. Despite strong growth, a net loss was still reported for 2024.

The new capital will primarily flow into the further development of the platform and expansion in the US. The captured point clouds are increasingly expected to evolve from pure status-quo documentation into a data foundation for planning, construction, and operations.

Driven by ever-faster scanning, the scope is expanding: construction contractors, planners, or site supervisors can improve QA/QC during the construction phase via captured point clouds and BIM models. By the end of the construction phase or during an existing building assessment, point clouds and 360° imagery could generate structured information about rooms, building components, and technical systems. This holds real potential for building digitization, maintenance, and facility management.

And those are just two approaches that immediately come to mind. So it will be exciting to see what NavVis does with the data. We’ll stay tuned.
