Reading Tip: “BIM Is Inside!” Showcases 21 Realized BIM Projects Using Open Standards

The new edition of the successful publication series “BIM Is Inside!” by buildingSMART Germany has been released. The 2025 edition presents a total of 21 construction projects that were realized using Building Information Modeling (BIM) and open, vendor-neutral standards.

The project examples clearly demonstrate how BIM is applied in practice—not only during planning and construction, but also throughout the operational phase of buildings. The projects span all asset classes: healthcare, research and development, commercial real estate, residential construction, transport infrastructure, and even highly specialized applications such as model-based scaffolding management.

💡 There should be inspiration here for everyone’s next project.

The publication makes an important contribution to the further dissemination of digital working methods in the construction industry.
“BIM Is Inside!” is available as a free eBook download (link to download).
