The company has developed the first version of its platform and is already working with its initial construction clients. Additionally, SCAIT has secured a partnership with the Swiss Master Builders’ Association (Schweizerischer Baumeisterverband), giving the startup access to around 2,400 member companies. Back in March, Scait received 40,000 Swiss francs from Venture Kick, a Swiss early-stage program that supports startups across multiple stages with financial backing, networking, and coaching.
Investors in this funding round include Joachim Sorba, who will also support SCAIT as a strategic partner moving forward. For over 30 years, the entrepreneur was the CEO of St. Gallen-based SORBA EDV AG, a leading provider of construction software in Switzerland. Alongside Joachim Sorba, several private investors participated in the round, including members of the Venture Kick jury who invested privately. Interestingly, no VC firms joined the round. Was this a deliberate strategy for the early stage? Perhaps the Scait founding team will read this post and leave a comment?
The fresh capital will be used to scale SCAIT from its first customers to a full market launch. The current focus is on the Swiss market. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to seeing them make the leap to Germany!
