Veridue raises €3.4M for AI-based due diligence of infrastructure projects
@Veridue

As announced, we want to incorporate innovations and news from the data center space more heavily into our coverage. And here, both come together: startup vibes/technology and data center/infrastructure projects. All the buzzwords in one post

London-based startup Veridue has raised around 3.4 million euros in a pre-seed round. The financing was led by Episode 1 Ventures, with participation from HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds, Pi Labs, as well as several industry experts / business angels.

Veridue has developed an AI-powered transaction and due diligence data room for complex infrastructure projects and data centers. Investors, project developers, banks, and consultants can aggregate project documents within the platform and have them automatically analyzed for risks, missing documentation, and actual project maturity. Thousands of defined risk factors are screened automatically, with all findings traceable back to the underlying source documents. This makes red-flag due diligence (providing actual warning signs!) possible within 24 hours instead of several weeks.

For data centers, this approach is particularly interesting because it evaluates not only the building itself, but also permits, grid connections, energy supply, and technical infrastructure—making due diligence highly complex and labor-intensive.

Veridue was founded by Daniel Csonth, a former energy investment consultant at McKinsey, and Xander van den Eelaart, former Head of Data Science at SCOR.

The official market launch was yesterday, September 8, 2026. Veridue states that it covers “most of Europe” as well as the US, with local market and regulatory knowledge. We assume Germany, Switzerland, and Austria are included in “most of Europe.” By the way, the “AI data room” is free for developers and sellers. We couldn’t find out the costs for buyers and banks. So, try it out! We’ll stay tuned and wish them every success!
