LumenRadio successfully retrofitted the historic Starrett Lehigh Building in Manhattan using its unique wireless BACnet solution “W-BACnet.” The 92-year-old building, which spans an entire city block, posed significant challenges due to its reinforced concrete structure and the requirement not to disrupt tenants or ongoing operations during the retrofit.
LumenRadio’s technology enabled the creation of an efficient mesh network covering the entire building, with installation completed in just two weeks. The wireless BACnet solution not only saved time but also significantly reduced costs compared to a traditional wired system. The success of the project led the system integrator to develop a range of custom sensors based on LumenRadio’s technology.
Corc will explain the underlying LumenRadio technology and take a detailed look at the Starrett Lehigh Building project as a real-world example.
